So you studied hard through school and now have
landed in the best and coolest college possible. All the family and
relatives praising you, but do you feel as if you have just slogged
too hard in trying to get into this college. Has it been too much
work and no fun for you? Fear not, Now that you have joined college,
you will have plenty of opportunities to have fun. You will be going
for the first shows of the movies, the hippest hangouts and the
coolest clubs. And what is better than going to all these places with
the person you like and want to spend time with.
Dating in college is mostly about hanging out
together and enjoying the golden college days. You need a partner in
crime for all your mischief and having with you a person who shares
your interests and likes and dislikes is an added bonus.
So choose wise, and once you are in a relationship
stick to it. If you think that getting committed to a single person
is boring, try to give in your best to the relationship and you will
slowly realize that it can be quite interesting and fun too.
Dating in college is not at all concerned with
marriage. Getting too much involved and planning your future life is
a strict no-no as it is bound to cause unrest. However, if you are
confident that you have found your ultimate partner, that he/she is
the one, then stick to them and when you both are out of college,
only then think or plan a long term commitment. While dating in
college take one day at a time. That is why; you don’t need to fear
commitment going awry.
When you think of being single or committed, being
single during college life, may appeal to you as an alternative but
its definitely going to be embarrassing. For one thing, all of your
friends would be having a girlfriend or a boyfriend and when you all
go out together, you will tend to feel lonely and embarrassed with
all the couples unless you too have linked arms with someone.
We all know that college life is very competitive
and some hard feelings also come from mates, as such, there is not
much that you can share with your friends, but it’s only with your
dating partner that you can say what you feel like sharing.
Some people think that dating while doing college
will bring down their grades and distract them. Oh come on people!
Learn to manage your life, study, work, but also enjoy! Go on dates
at distributed days. Give a gap between two dates. Never schedule a
date on or near the day of exam. Try to encourage your partner to be
successful in life. Don’t burden them with too much cribbing about
work or studies. Try to use your girlfriend’s or boyfriends’
resources to help you out in tough situation. When you learn these
small things, you will see a big difference.
So, in college, go and find someone special and
commit yourself!
